WARRINGTON COLLEGIATE VISUAL ARTS ALUMNI EXHIBITION
Warrington Collegiate Visual Arts Alumni Exhibition has just opened to art lovers from across the North West. The exhibition is a celebration of the artistic talent from past students and staff of Warrington Collegiate, featuring original works showcasing their talent.
The art work on display expresses a wide variety of themes in an array of mediums from painting to 3D sculpture and fashion.
This is the first of what will become an annual event, taking place at the Gallery at Bank Quay House.
The roots of Visual Arts at Warrington Collegiate can be traced back to the original School of Art and Design that opened back in 1854, launching past students into every area of the creative Industries, across the country and even globally. The Alumni grouped named 1854 will provide a forum for people to share memories of their time as a Warrington Collegiate arts student (formerly North Cheshire College and The Warrington School of Art & Design).
Helen McNicholas Warrington Collegiate Art & Design tutor comments: “We are so grateful that Python Properties have had the vision to develop such a vibrant space in Warrington. The Gallery at Bank Quay House has given us the exciting opportunity to showcase some of the amazing artwork produced by members of our Visual Arts Alumni”

Principal Paul Hafren comments: “I am delighted that the Collegiate has been able to take part in the new arts venture. Having a company from the private sector develop an art gallery in the town centre is a very positive opportunity for Warrington. The gallery has given students the feeling of being actively involved in the arts world and it’s been a great opportunity to showcase the fantastic artistic abilities of our students and staff.”
Exhibition continues till 21st September 2010
